102. Vice President, Special Situations Fund

Our client is a multi-billion global special situations fund with long-term locked up capital and a highly regarded senior team of investors with decades of experience in special situations credit and equity. They invest in primary and secondary private and public credit and private equity focused on the US and Western Europe. They have a flat organizational structure. The VP should be able to participate in sourcing, process new investment ideas, and manage a team of strong junior investing staffers. The VP needs 6-8 years of total experience focused on more complex, structured, or equity-like investments. Candidates need training in a well-respected investment banking (preferably focused on Restructuring or Leveraged Finance) or buyside analyst program with additional experience in a buyside special situations/hybrid value fund. We cannot consider long/short or growth equity backgrounds. The role requires hustle and creativity as well as rigorous fundamental underwriting skills. Strong performers will have significant upside trajectory. Candidates should have a track record of professional success including a strong academic background from a major college or university.
