The Private Credit team of a highly regarded international law firm would like to find a marketing professional with experience in a professional services organization to provide business development support to their practice leaders focused on Private Credit. The Associate Director will identify key markets, industry trends and competitive opportunities to develop strategic priorities and tactics for business development, marketing, and branding support. This includes shaping, expanding, and diversifying client relationships and increasing market visibility. The Associate Director will collaborate with Private Credit practice leaders and support their efforts to build engagement, expand their reach and foster connections with clients and prospects. The Associate Director will develop pitch materials and proposals that reflect the expertise of the team and firm, and will develop messaging, materials, and strategies to support lateral hiring. They will also work with cross-functional teams to deliver relevant data insights, client facing materials, and business intelligence. The Associate Director will collaborate across the firm to offer client-facing events, training, media exposure, blogs, and articles. The Associate Director will manage and help develop junior members of the BD team.
The strongest candidates have 7-12 years of experience in a market strategy and business development role within a law firm, investment bank, professional services, or asset management firm. The Associate Director should have a basic understanding of the target markets, in depth expertise in business development and branding, and a demonstrated ability to develop and execute a long-term strategic plan. The Associate Director needs to have exceptional EQ, strong client services skills, and a desire to develop a process that successfully builds upon what is already a highly regarded legal focus. The firm values collaboration and the ability to operate calmly under pressure, so the ability to build relationships and work across all parts of the law firm are important.
