Our client, an established fund in Boston, is building a value-oriented credit business that will invest in distressed, high yield, performing loans, workouts, private debt, and post reorg equity. The team will focus on US names but will look globally. The analyst will help establish an underwriting process based on credit screening, deep due diligence and analysis, and networks. The team has an entrepreneurial approach where the analyst will work independently but collaborate with the team. They are looking for an outstanding investment analyst who loves the work and strives for strong results. Top candidates have 1-2 years of investment banking or restructuring advisory experience and 2-4 years of buyside credit experience. Candidates should have strong modeling skills and verbal and written communications ability. Candidates should have some ties to Boston because this is a career track role. They will not consider candidates who want to commute to Boston from NY. Compensation will depend on experience, but base salary may range from $150-250,000 + bonus.
